Fahim Asfar is Arowana’s Senior Group Accountant based in Sydney. He specialises in accounting and has a number of years of experience in the industry.
Fahim began his accounting career at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) as an Investment Accountant and later joined the accounting firm William Buck before transitioning to a Senior Advisory role with KPMG.
Fahim earned a double degree in Bachelor of Applied Finance and Bachelor of Commerce - Professional Accounting at Macquarie University. In December 2021, he successfully completed his Chartered Accountants studies with Merit in Finance, Tax and Capstone.
Born in Bangladesh, Fahim was raised in Australia surrounded by his extended family. However, he still sees himself as a true Bangladeshi, especially when it comes to the sport of cricket. He is also a passionate Chelsea FC fan.
Fahim is a determined and goal-oriented person. He feels more motivated to achieve things in life and his career when he has a clear target in mind.
The secret to success? It’s hard work. If you commit to your goals and remain persistent, then there is no limit to what can be achieved. He also thinks that the pursuit of continual learning makes life’s journey much more meaningful and rewarding.
