Director, Arowana Group Asia
Born in Sarawak, Malaysia, Han grew up in Auckland, New Zealand where he lived for 18 years before permanently residing in Singapore since 2000.
In New Zealand, Han graduated from the University of Auckland (B.Com), and became a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1998.
He began his career as an auditor for about 3 years, including a year with Ernst & Young in Singapore. He then moved to a commercial role with Multiplex, an Australian construction group in New Zealand. He was later transferred to Multiplex’s Singapore branch and after 6 years in property and construction Han left to co-found a F&B start-up which he was involved full-time for 18 months before selling the business.
Han then joined the media industry holding CFO and Regional Client Finance Director roles over a period of 6 years with two global advertising agencies owned by The Interpublic Group of Companies (IPG) as well as CFO, Asia for Viacom before becoming an independent consultant.
Han joined Arowana as a consultant in 2014, before becoming one of the early employees of its subsidiary, VivoPower in 2015. As Director for VivoPower he sources for solar projects primarily in Asia as well as for investors looking to invest in solar projects.
In April 2018, Han became engaged full-time with Arowana Group Asia (AGA) to focus on expanding Arowana’s other business platforms in Asia while still supporting VivoPower.
