Based in London, Jean Diego Banon is an Investment Director at Arowana. He specialises in Corporate Finance (M&A, capital markets), business growth, management and operations.
Born in Paris, JD was raised in London. His exposure to different cultures led him to master English, French, and Spanish fluently.
In 2005 JD simultaneously completed a bachelor’s degree in International Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, and a bachelor’s degree in Finance from UPenn’s Wharton School.
He started his career as an M&A Investment Banking Analyst at Citi in the UK. He spent more than 7 years with the company, working his way to Vice President at Citi’s Investment Banking Financial Institutions Group (FIG). In 2014, he moved to Lima, Peru and joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch as a Vice President in its Investment Banking division.
Most recently he served as Head of Strategy and Tech Product Manager at Juntoz, a LatAm proprietary e-commerce marketplace platform, generating and executing on key growth initiatives.
JD is interested in solving strategic, operational, technical, and financial challenges to move companies forward quickly towards their objectives. He strongly values being able to learn about and step up in new areas of knowledge or skill.
